We’re happy to say RightRice & RightRice Medleys are faster (and easier) to cook in a saucepan than traditional rice. Keep in mind: since our grain is packed with vegetables, it doesn’t cook the same as regular rice in appliances (see below).
To cook the entire pouch, use 1 ⅓ cups of water.
(Or, 1 cup water for each cup of RightRice®)
Best to use a regular saucepan.
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil
Add RightRice®, immediately
remove from heat, and cover
Let stand covered off heat for 12 minutes (10 for Original RightRice)
Fluff with a fork, let sit 2-3 more minutes, and enjoy
Season Original RightRice with your favorite spices or just a bit of salt. Or try one of our already seasoned flavors. For even more savory flavor, replace the water with your favorite broth.

Try our Favorite RecipesRightRice Risotto products are easy to cook in a saucepan in about 12 minutes. That’s way faster than regular risotto! To cook the entire pouch, add 2 cups of water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Add RightRice Risotto and boil uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 7 minutes. Stir and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Since RightRice is packed with vegetables, we haven’t found a way to cook it in rice cookers or Instapots. And because it’s so easy to cook in a saucepan, you don’t have to.
